I understand what you're saying in those first seven paragraphs, and pretty much agree now. It's just.. i over-reacted because i do feel strongly about this.. I cant help it, i think a distinction between a true girl lover and a molester is important. And i dont agree with your last point, that this is "smug".. See, the difference between pedophillia (describing a sexual orientation) and homosexuality and heterosexuality is the ever looming issue of consent and notion of "consenting adults".. The idea of a "bad" homosexual person could mean alot of things, i dont think it nessacarily means they use force on and harm those they are sexually attracted to - Same thing with heterosexuals.. and bisexuals.. BUT, because of that issue of consent, when talking about pedophillia the term; "bad pedophile", i think clearly indicates that they would use force on and harm those who they're sexually attracted to (children). So therein lies the importance for the distinction and i dont think it's smug. As i see it, you would call such a person (a person who would force and harm a little girl) a "bad girl lover", right? And i just refuse to do that.. To me, that person is not a girl lover at all. And that's all i was trying to say.
