do you think of under 18 people as adults?
How about just thinking of someone regardless of age as a person in their own right. With real feelings and real thoughts based on what has happened to them in their life. So often people who are young in years are told their thoughts and feelings are not as significant as an adults because somehow (in some magic way I do not understand) their age prevents those thoughts and feelings from being as legitimate as a person who would be called an adult.

What this actual adult thing is I have no idea, and have heard far too many opinions on it to believe there is even a general consensus beyond just restating whatever the law is where one lives. Labeling someone as an adult or child (or whatever else) is just a way to negate who that person actually is. Then you can just call someone "what" they are whilst disregarding "who" they are. Kinda like labeling a person as a paedophile and ignoring every other facet of that person because the label is ever more important...hmmm, at least thats what I think.

I only touched on that one part of the post, lack the time for more; tis past my bedtime and I've a bit too busy lately for internet fun.
