Not that I have a choice in the matter; but I'm happy being me. I wasn't as a teen. But I was unhappy as a Hetero, as a Student, as a Leftie; nothing specifically Pedo related.

I refuse to backpedal from the term "Pedophile" until there are no more scholars or linguists using it "properly." I believe that even if it can't be reclaimed from the tabloid media in general, that its legitimate use can be preserved.

Nonacceptance doesn't make ot a choice. I think it has all the hallmarks of a sexual orientation. Being someone who is also Hetero/Telio; I can see no distinction between the two orientations aside from what Rupert Murdoch thinks can sell advertising space.

I'm not sure we mean the same things when we say have sex. But since I'm non-contact its a moot point.

As for my attraction, while it peaks with 11yr old girls, it starts as young as 2 or 3.

Desire isn't the same as sex, love isn't the same as sex, and sex isn't the same as sex :)

That would really be their business, wouldn't it? Every youth is different. All youths have sex lives of some sort. And until recently, some sort of exploration was expected as part of the maturation process and as a healthy expression in its own right.

Nope, nada. My sexuality was quite delayed in emerging. There were no LGs chasing little Dante around the schoolyard. There was G who wrote in my Senior yearbook something that I only later realized was an attempt to hook up. ( Hapless and clueless )

Sorta. I don't wait for adulthood before I start treating individuals as People. Children aren't larval People. And I don't ask a child to wait 18 years before I begin to recognise their humanity.

I don't call anyone "sir" or "madam" unless I'm gonna sell them Life-Insurance ;p

I take my cues from them. And I address all as they wish to be prefered, and speak about their interests. Its amazing what people will say when they aren't being spoken down to. And oddly enough, most "adults" also hate being patronized and having their own experiences dismissed.

Chronologically, yes. There are freedoms that come with being an adult. Its unfair that youth are disenfranchised from these freedoms. But in our society, in our time, you are only allowed self ownership upon adulthood.

We restrict our own hearts in order to prevent damage. Ironically, we still suffer external wounds, but we compound them with the self-inflicted ones too.
