I spent some time with an AG cousin today

Hey, guys,

Today I had a fairly adventuresome day on account of the fact that I had a family get together as a few of my cousins from out of state were in town, and among them was my 12 year old cousin who I will call Trish. Though we barely spent any time together when she was little, today she suddenly gave me a lot of attention, as if we were suddenly best buddies. She ran right up to me and gave me a hug as soon as I arrived at the house where she was staying...though I arrived together with several other relatives who were much closer to Trish, I was the first one to get hugged. To be honest, I always tried to avoid her in the past as she is rather bratty and ill-mannered. But it still felt sort of good to see her give me a good amount of attention today, even if she is the bratty sort (though she isn't quite as bad as she was when she was younger), and she is an adolescent now so I can relate to her better than when she was a LG.

Me and the family were having dinner at my aunt's house, and she has a pool. Trish was swimming in the pool, and I CONSTANTLY saw her legs hanging in the air while she was in the pool. She kept frequently doing handstands under the water. Then, at one point, she started LOUDLY singing this song that went something like, "I'm a big girl...she's a big girl...I'm a big girl..." I had NO IDEA what the hell that song was supposed to be, because I never heard it before. I asked Trish's dad about it and he also said that he never heard it before. So what the hell song was that? Sometimes AG's really befuddle me.

Since she spent a lot of time in the pool she frequently called me and told me to watch her doing handstands under water (I know I already mentioned the handstands in the previous paragraph, but she kept doing them so often that it seemed like every time I looked towards the pool I saw her legs hanging in the air). I guess I was supposed to be impressed with her ability to do this. I also noticed that she left her swimsuit dress laying in the grass after she discarded it to go in the pool. At one point, she was in the pool with her dress on, and then it was suddenly off again (no, she was never nude, she had a swimsuit on under the dress, so get your minds out of the gutter, guys!). I had no idea why she went into the water with her dress on at one point. She was joined by a few other kids, including another 12 year old girl who is kind of chunky but otherwise really cute and very well-behaved...she made cupcakes and brought them to the party, and they were quite good. This girl knows how to bake! This was AG power in action!

Then, me, a bunch of my relatives, and Trish were standing around talking and needless to say, Trish dominated the entire conversation with her spunk (she called me "cuz" at one point). When I had to leave, I said goodbye to her and she gave me a hug and told me, "I don't want you to go." Alas, I had to leave, but I told her that hopefully I would see her before she goes back to her home state of Washington. She doesn't live too far from me, but I only see her once a year. I never mentioned her on the board before because this was the first time that Trish ever gave me a lot of attention.

So I must say that today was a an interesting day, and an AG cousin made it a mini-adventure.
