Maybe you got a point, but your description definately does not encompass all (or probably even a significant portion) of kp. I really doubt a lot of people in most of the media are being brought to the 'peak of pleasure' and for those who are, most are probably the adults rather than the kids, who are for the most part being abused, and not enjoying the experience at all.

You can't prove this, thank you very much. Next!

that such things are being done for reasons like money

Show me ONE kp maker who became rich, no, who even pays the rent, with the kp production.

or to affect other people or gain reputation or something.

Show me ONE kp maker who is famous beyond the week of their arrest, or without having been arrested.

While maybe some guys do it as an act or worship or celebration or charity, I can't shake the feeling that this is only a minority of the mindsets and that most are done for very bad reasons, few of which may benefit the girl in any way.

Fair enough. In order to shake the feeling, try to prove that you are right - and upon failure, abandon the dogma unprovable premise.

This is another reason why cp/kp should be legal to view/possess (though this would not affect the laws outlawing the acts taking place in the video so people in it could still be prosecuted for what they do on film, and the film can be evidence for conviction) is that it would remove a lot of these myths.

Indeed - many people against contact, paed and not, have argued that. And while it's miles behind my own goals, it's a fair argument.

Currently, people are coming to conclusions about this stuff mostly on their own, as disregarding expert evidence often happens due to (often accurate) suspicions of bias.

I haven't disregarded any evidence. I just haven't ever, ever, ever seen any.

"KP is abusive" is a faith statement, and as long as it is, I choose to be atheistic on it.

A lot of people are coming to think of CP/KP very positively, in line with your description, which I believe is mistaken. [Emphasis mine]

Well prove it. And you're haaaaardly the first person to whom I ask to back it up. You just can't talk out of the proverbial ass when public policy, civil liberties and the status of large sectors of the population (paeds and kids) are all involved.

based upon what police officers say happens when they legally view it, it sounds pretty awful

Do you always take the word of Police at face value, or only regarding kp???

'cause, you obviously disagree, but Sacco and Vanzetti didn't do the robbery and Oswald didn't kill JFK, and we'll never know what happened to JBR or to MMC thanks mostly to their desire to find the common suspect guilty because it's cheaper and takes less time and work...

As a matter of fact, I lied. I have seen the evidence - Aussie newspapers told me what the definition of "awful" is in their dictionary and what the pic under the entry is.

You should see it too.

Because...

Another part is due to not being able to discuss the media. When people do illegally view it, they for the most part are going to do this in isolation, and not discuss what they do with others. Even if they do, it is really likely they are not going to do so in detail. The problem with this aspect of the issue is that people do not get others' input.

...you are very right on that one, and Australia can do a service to you regarding this.

This is why I really have a problem with people jumping to defend (or attack) this since really, there is simply no input on it at all.

Again, then why take the more logically tortuous path, instead of the clearer one???

The quasi-unanimity of legal porn is not abusive or forced / coerced.

There is no reason to suppose that illegality completely inverts the ratios of abuse / non-abuse.

Of course, illegality removes some incentives for it to be non-abusive, but it is one statement to argue that there's an increase in abuse and another to argue an increase from almost zero to a great majority.

it isn't ongoing

KP is the item of evidence that second most often "disappears" from police custody. First is hard drugs.
