If the antis were right, the text 'suffer little children to come unto me... and he laid his hands upon them' would have been followed by an immediate stoning, fucking up the divinely ordained plan of things, and the universe would have gone into meltdown, or something. Either that, or he would have had the shrewdness to claim he'd been CRB'd.
