I was thinking about this just the other day. I find it amusing that most adults, if they're so completely disinterested in minors - unless they have kids of their own who watch Hannah Montana - should have no cause to know or even care about who Miley Cyrus is (I'm even including the fact that they might once have been Billy Ray fans - I still don't think they'll be bopping so much to "Best of Both Worlds" ...).

But someone takes some "scandalous" pictures of her that supposedly border on child pornography (hey, if they're titillatin', right?) - scratch that ... if someone merely *describes* some innocuous candids as scandalous and bordering on child pornography - BANG! and the whole world regards it as essential water cooler knowledge.

People are f*cking hypocrits, it kills me. I'm sure I'm not alone here on the board in being quite the avid watcher of Disney Channel and Nickelodeon shows and maybe there's some out there who listen to the music that's targeted at our interests too. I may be a pedophile but I've sure got more respect for Miley and her ilk than those who only know who she is 'cos of some pictures that aren't even very *good* nevermind anything else, lol. I mean, there's actually plenty of nice stuff to look it in the plain shows - I can't think of a Miley-specific scene right now, I'm sure there are plenty, but I was just watching the "Selena Gomez in chocolate!" scene on "Wizards of Waverly Place" today and, seriously, omg!

Seriously, even forgetting the hypocrisy involved, the respect I genuinely have for these girls, etc ... the closet pervs are trying WAY too hard to find their kicks if they have to wait for someone to decry a few shower snaps like those LOL. The world is nonsense, I swear.
