I remember it. However, the comments below it offer great insight into what had to be the ultimate height of the pedo-paranoia, when the drumbeat to war was accompanied by saturation in the corporate media of all sorts of "dangers" lurking everywhere in society, and the pedo stuff was even more effective than terrorists at making people scared and angry. The hatred is still there now of course, but it's evolved as it always does. Just reading the fascist assholes trying to fan people's fears, like the guy who thinks all the mall Santas are pedos... it's all just so classic. When media reform becomes the reality and the Bush years go down reviled in history as some of the darkest, stuff like the comment section of that page is going to be an important historical record of how well pedo-paranoia was manufactured, and how effectively the emotions it brought on were exploited for nefarious purposes.
