I do believe it is good for her to be aware of the situation. I had a similar talk with my lgf recently too. I think it is good to have all the cards on the table, so to speak. Allowing her to make an informed decision to the best of her understanding. That way when she holds your hand or snuggles up with you, you have no doubt as to her feelings and motives. In the long run you save yourself some heart ache by knowing where you stand.

I wouldn't trust the situation if her mother is going to behave so irresponsibly. It is often those types who overcompensate with false allegations headed your way.
