The Teenager's Mantra

So me and girl hung out today, and all was well. We decided to order a pizza and a two liter then watch a movie together. What could be more simple than that??

Well we ate, watched our movie and with ten minutes to go her parents call. Dinner was ready, but she told them we had just eaten a little while ago.

So after she goes home I get a phone call from her telling she was grounded for not asking if she could eat here first. A simple misunderstanding, I guess. So the next thing I know I hear that infamous line spoken by nearly every teenager I've ever met...

[I]"I hate my parents."[/I]

She's growing up alright...

If anyone has experience with teen age girls...some advice on juggling between sympathizing with her when she's angry at mom and dad Vs. understanding what her parents might be dealing with at home? Dissident, I hear you've had experience with AGs...
