Re: The Teenager's Mantra

When I was eighteen I completely fell on love with a fourteen year old girl that I've know forever. She has never gotten along well with her Mom and looking back on it now, even though the girl was kind of hysterical at times as a young adolescent, her Mom wasn't exactly perfect and rational either.
It sounds to me like she was grounded for a stupid reason, so if it was me I would tell her something like the truth: "Yeah, that's a silly choice they made, unfortunatly if you argue with them it'll make it worse, hang in there"
Of course I'm not saying her parents are terrible people, but parents in general can get a bit over-authoritative......is that a real term?..doubt it..anyway!:)
