### Careful. Don't equate age with weight and size. Some younger athletes of a certain race or somatotype may be quite a bit bigger and heavier than another athlete of a different race which is older. One perfect example is Anglos/Germanics (or any of the Western barbarian tribes) compared with Asians. Most Germanic 12 year olds would utterly DWARF an ASIAN 18 yo! But yes, imposing an age restriction is not only downright discriminatory, it effectively bars out younger competitors who may have the potential to win the medals.
