Marta didn't (because she realises what I said about winning it on the table as opposed to the dome), but the USOC did file a protest after three ages were shown to be disputable based on available evidence alone.

The IOC and the FIG have launched an inquiry.

So far, they haven't discovered anything the bloggers haven't; and they haven't been able to prove that there has been any wrongdoing - as opposed to honest age transcription mistakes (yeah right...).

The Phelps case is different - it asked for a review of what happened in the pool and didn't intend to win anything based on anything that happened off it. It's not unusual to sometimes have to do this in swimming or track-and-field events alike; but it's not the same thing.

Meh!! I am pretty sure all the Chinese girls except Cheng Fei are underage, based on bodies alone. I just don't care. Although yes, you can argue that them being underage and the other countries' being legal is not fair - but is it fair to the underage gymnasts of the complying countries???

Shawn looks 14 to me, sure. Not 12. :p
