Shadowdweller, I am new here, but you are one of the posters that made me want to finally register and reply to. I am glad I now have the opportunity.

I'd like to say that I've really felt for you during all of this. I think I've read almost every post you made about Emma. I can imagine it wasn't easy for you. I will say that you are a very Lucky individual, because you have a loving family and many girls in your life.

I am a rather large proponent of GL's having many little girls and teen girls in their life as friends. We make them happy and they make us happy. No one else can quite meet a girls needs for love and attention the way a GL can.

It's important for those of us who are around girls on a regular basis to make sure that we remain friends, and not allow our friendships to turn into romantic relationships. You tried to do this, and that is GL no-no.

I don't have any real advice for you, you've been given more than enough by everyone else. I would say that I like the advice of Baldur, because putting your daughter in the middle of this is not good for her. Please do not burden her with your problems and concerns (especially romantic). Remember, she is your little girl, and always will be, no matter how old she gets.

I agree with your decision to be less physical with the other girl, you are handling that well. I have often had to do the same thing with teen friends of mine. It's such a "grey area" sometimes.
