When I've talked about it with my Mom, the only analogy I've used is "if an adult woman doesn't have the same romantic feelings that I have for her, I'm not gonna do anything to her that's against her will"

Now I guess this analogy falls flat if I had a kid who was interested in me that way, but I never have, and even if I did I still wouldn't do anything for all the obvious reasons that have been listed here many times.

I dunno, it's just that my Mom knows that there is this really good friend of mine a little younger than me that I used to be nuts for, but she doesn't feel the same way and I'm ok around her, so that's why I made that comparison.

Anyway, this can be difficult to discuss with parents, keep us updated in case anything knew happens.

Oh, is your Father still around and does he know too? If so, how do their reactions differ, if at all, I'm curious. Thanks.
