That depends on how cloistered you are.

Some colleges are a community unto themselves. Others are situated within a diverse community.

While getting the most out of school means spending plenty of time attending class and studying; most students have to live somewhere, many work part-time and still have something of a social life.

If you aren't dorming, you may wish to live a little further off-campus to uncollegify your living situation. And instead of looking for work at the Campus Bookstore, you might want to take that part-time job at a CD store. Try to find all-ages activities for your social-life.

I don't know as you'd have enough free-time to see an LGF much. But there are ways of avoiding spending every waking hour in an LG-free zone.
