Do prettier girls have better personalities?
Posted by LOD on 2008-August-27 01:10:02 EDT, WednesdayAnyway, the thing that pisses me off about this movie is that it seems to suggest that less attractive women have better personalities than those with outer beauty, since when Jack has the curse put on him all the "beautiful" women he comes across are actually very ugly. And the one physically attractive woman who works at the hospital becomes an old, ugly witch.
Now having worked in customer service related jobs all my life, I find the very opposite to be true. The less physically attractive ones are usually the most embittered, unresponsive and rudest of them all. While the younger, prettier ones are usually the sweetest.
There seems to be a general attack on beautiful, sexually appealing females by feminists, who are mainly old embittered hags, who think that any girl who likes wearing short skirts is compensating for a lack of intellegence. As if a girl can't be proud of her body and be smart at the same time. This is the type attitude towards female sexuality that really pisses me off. And it's what pissed me off about Shallow Hal, although I understand the message about not judging someone by how they look, but there seems to be more that was suggested in this movie.
I mean, when you imagine what the antis look like - do you imagine beautiful or ugly people?
I think that proves something.
