They mean different things. Don't use them interchangable. If you prefer girllover that's great. That doesn't really have a specific definition (much like the word 'love') whereas pedophile does. No one should be using it here unless discussing it as a topic or discussing having been diagnosed with it.

Honestly, I do not think you should be proud of being either. Spontaneous emotions take no effort to achieve, they aren't to be proud of.

You can be proud of things related to it like having intraspective skills, guts, self-exploration, courage, openmindedness, clear thinking, etc.
