Someone once defined "Insanity" as "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

That idea is typically attributed to Albert Einstein. I have made such a point in the past on other forums discussing such issues as, for example, "sex offenders". After increasing the legal penalties five times in the past, with no affect on the "problem", people just swallow, hook, line, and sinker, the idea that increasing the legal penalties one more time will solve the problem. Such people generally fall into class two of my previous examplethey have no grasp of the real problem, and thus are completely incapable of making any meaningful contribution towards solving the "problem". Thus, they believe almost anything, no matter how irrational and absurd it is, proposed by politicians who fall into class one of my previous example.
