What good does it do to try to hide these things from children? I'm sure this is based on the same antiquated notion of 'childhood innocence' that is used to justify the sexual issues. In this case, as with that one, 'innocence' is a euphemism for 'ignorance'.

BTW, Terry Gilliam's Tideland is a great film, and Jodelle, who I love, and who was 9 when the film was shot in 2004, is amazing in it.
