I agree with you BOTH a hundred fold. Once I realized I was a pedo, I adopted that same sex=centric focus towards girls. Through being around the boards I realized that

"You know what? A pedophile's life should be lived among children, not online bitching about societies bias towards men." Then I made it so.

I cautiously took some chances, and made some friends. I forced myself to be more social and to step out of my comfort zone. As a twenty-something yr old living at home, I made friends with many very different young girls, and I made friends with the families too.

It was guys like you that inspired me to step out of my comfort zone, so thank you!. I'm like the community babysitter these days, and I am entrenched in their worlds...I'll among the first to admit, thuogh, that's it not all fun and games, it can be a hassle as well. It is still well worth it, though.
