IMO:

The main issue is that we do not relate to those of normal heterosexual relationships. And vice versa.

As a matter of fact I went out to a bar last night and engaged in conversation with a kind gentleman beside me. Unfortunately the conversation was hard to keep going, because all his words focused around the hot chicks next to me or across the room and how their sexy clothing turned him on.

I don't know why he felt the need to tell me all this, but I could not relate to him, and I felt the need to move on.

Now. There was a very attractive young lady sitting with her family that warranted my attention. Yet I did not feel the need or inclination to exploit her by commenting on her features to another in order to degrade her being to an object.

When I love, it is for the longing of companionship and admiration of one's character. Yet I see all around me that men blatantly use women to sate their desire and then ignore them. (for the record I see women doing the same thing).

This is not me. I cannot just relive my desires into whatever is available.

Yet, when our kind come into question, these male traits are attached to me and it is understandable why they see me as a monster.

I can relate better to gay men. Because they have that same side of them that I do....caring and compassionate. Yet I am not gay, but I care and love the girls I have in my life in a way that seems to elude the general public.

So. Can we be accepted one day?

Not in the present way society works. Period.
