Re: Oprah: The world's richest 'anti'?

Thanks to the hysteria whipped up by Oprah and company, the LEA's can be counted on to continue getting vast sums of money to attack anyone remotely suspected of having a sexual attraction to kids. Many people fear the Internet and the opportunities for freedom of speech and political organization that it provides, so it will continue to be the subject of sensationalistic attacks in morbid attempts to characterize it as the home of child sexual abuse and to get the government to take full control over it, where it can then limit political dissent.

There are enough police officers harrassing MAA's right now...a plea for more is overkill. This hysteria is rapidly going to turn this nation into a police state, and I can actually see the dark future that LGsinmyheart recently predicted on this board coming to pass if the hysteria carries things too far. Talk show hosts are obsessed with the concept of child sexual abuse and exploitation because its lurid enough to catch the attention of viewers, and it provides the talk show hosts with the opportunity to play do-gooder while attacking all aspects of youth sexuality and any adult who finds them attractive by providing extreme examples of sexual abuse and making it appear to be an epidemic or typical behavior among MAA's. Oprah has done much to nurture the current hysteria, and lies and fabrications she has spread about this community and the problem of sexual abuse, never blaiming parents and other close relatives, along with the nature of the nuclear family unit, and the legal disempowerment of children, which are the three major causes of genuine sexual abuse. Talk show hosts in America can never be open-minded about this important topic...they continue to blame MAA's for the bulk of all sexual abuse and they continue to portray the Internet as a hotbed of illegal activity and abuse, largely because they fear the freedom of speech that it affords us.

I have never heard of an online book that encourages and instructs people on how to sexually exploit and abuse children, and I doubt any genuine MAA would ever put something like that online...we respect and adore kids far too much for that, and we are not the savage monsters that Oprah tries to make us out to be. She is a liar, a social con artist, and a fomenter of sensationalistic hysteria.

I hope that Harbor Boy sees this post and responds to it...he makes many enlightened posts about Oprah.
