The West oppressed Jews since the early Middle Ages until WW2 - that's about 1200 years or so...

The West has oppressed Blacks since the Age of Discoveries until very recently. That's about 500-600 years. And while it might be a thing of the past, or close to become it, in the Americas, in Europe itself it is an unfinished business, at least in some places.

The West has oppressed many other peoples it found during the Age of Discoveries and after it - and while none as thoroughly as West African Blacks, it still has pending assignments.

The West started oppressing Muslims shortly after Islam itself began some almost 1400 years ago - and the Crusades haven't really ended.

The West has been oppressing the Rroma ever since they came to Europe some 800 years ago - and it's definitely not an unfinished business as we speak.

The luck of gays in only being oppressed for less than 200 years is the exception, not the norm. So I have to believe that we will be oppressed at least as long as gays, and more like more unlucky groups.
