I was heartbroken to hear about the loss of your friend. I know how terrible it is to lose a good friend, and that nostalgic feeling you get when you hear or see something that they used to love. Whenever I hear some good music, I will think of your friend, just as I think of my friend Don whenever I see a sports car (he loved cars...he actually had a photograph of his car in his bedroom...that was his baby). I offer much condolences to her grieving family. And I'm sorry that you have been hurting lately. You know that you can always come here for support. We care, and we always have.

I give you a lot of credit for working with kids with special needs. I would find it heart-wrenching to work with kids who were chronically ill, especially after growing close to some of them. I don't think I could take it. And I admire you for sticking with it for as long as you did. I'm sure many of those kids are better off for your participation in their lives.

I'm glad you came to us to let off some steam...I need to let off a little of my own sometimes, and it's nice to know you have a community where you are valued. And you are very valued here, old friend.
