However, even if your vote doesn't really modify the election results, it does send a message. And if you vote for guys that have passed, signed or promoted anti-paed laws, then the message you are sending is that you agree with those laws. Yes, I know everyone likes to say that they don't agree with the 100% of a candidate's history or proposals (and this is true for every candidate in every given election), but the mandate just doesn't work that way. If you vote for a candidate, you are voting for the whole package whether or not you like the whole package. You are certainly entitled to vote anyone because you think it's less bad a choice, and obviously to prevent that bad choice from winning. But you are not entitled to shrug off the bad proposals as if you're not voting them along with the good or least-bad ones...
