Yeah -- Jacko particularly has been a disappointment since a few years ago when it looked like he might go down for decades in prison. You'd think that scare would have radicalized him to some degree, and caused him to drop his "wink wink" persona about not being a pedophile. Instead of doing something useful with his money and fame, he's just continued with his weird brand of self-indulgent narcissism (the most recent news I heard about him is that he's relocated to Vegas, and will apparently become a permanent lounge act there like the aging Elvis did). He reportedly has cash-flow problems these days because of his absurdly lavish spending habits, but he's still fabulously well-off compared to someone like me (as usual, I slept outside in the unpatrolled woods of Portland last night, and look at all the trouble I was able to stir up in the last year or so). I'm now more hopeful about Glitter becoming something of a celebrity leader for our cause -- he seems to have more of a defiant, in-your-face attitude toward authority and the media than Jacko does.
