Don't worry so much about the closure with Emma, have faith that it will happen someday. And yeah, I think Fate is being your friend on that. It can be so hard to do the right thing...

I share your feelings towards boys (eww!). And it does sound like he's craving something from you... Follow the campsite rule (leave things in better shape than you found them) and be prepared for anything. (I once had a male friend I'd known all through school suddenly grab me and kiss me, one of the greatest shocks of my life!) (And... ewww! :P)

And Shadowland rings a bell... Was there a series of books with that title? Hmmm, gonna have to google that now...
