What greater crime is there than a crime against children! Especially if it is a sexual crime. It doesn't matter if he remembers it or not.

Implied Premise: Sexual crimes are worse than murder, torture or kidnapping that don't involve sex.
Implied Premise: The opinion of the child is completely irrelevant to the evil character of the act.
