From the Manchester Evening News' page on their coverage;

Shelagh's vote for change
A Manchester teenager made an impassioned plea to the Labour Party conference to reduce the voting age to 16.
Shelagh Dale, 17, said it was important to educate youngsters about politics and society as a whole.
She told delegates in Manchester: “We hear a lot about how young people aren't interested in politics. But as a young person myself I know that simply isn't true.”
Labour's national policy forum has backed the idea of lowering the voting age from 18 to 16 and Ms Dale, from Withington, said: “If something is worth starting, it's worth starting early.
“It's also important that we do more to educate people about politics, society and the wider world.”
She attacked Tory MP Stewart Jackson who had branded an attempt to change the law a “waste of parliamentary time”.
Ms Dale joked: “Well Mr Jackson, let me tell you - young people are interested in change and it's you who is the waste of parliamentary time.”

Good for her.
