Broad sweep prohibition not only eliminates unjust DISCRIMINATION towards certain people in society who indulge in something that is outlawed, but it also makes it a lot more beautifully SIMPLER and also far CHEAPER to enforce as well. All these factors just have to make a ONE LAW FOR ALL legal code a far better way to go.

In Sharia countries broad-sweep age-INdiscriminate laws against gambling, prostitution and drinking are mandated by no-nonsense law books which are extremely brief, to the point and appealingly simple; whereas the West's age-discriminate laws are mandated from piles and piles of abominable law books utterly bursting at the spines and packed with convoluted SCREEDS of dictates, stipulations, conditions, exceptions etc etc that are so damn difficult to comprehend that one just about needs whole swathes of legal experts to decipher it all.
