It came as a disappointing surprise to me that Mexico would have even HAD age laws for drinking, especially given that their roots are derived from Romanesque culture rather than the issue-inventing uptightness of Anglosphere. My uncle is Italian and he often goes back to Italy to visit his family. There they all drink wine at the table, this includes everyone right down to the toddlers. Its just an accepted part of their culture. Unfortunately, because of his happy go lucky nature, he was recently up before the criminal courts here on charges of supplying minors with alcohol, and his name was plastered through all the newspapers, he was demonized and he lost his job over it.

Btw, how long have these fascist drinking laws been around for in Mexico? I would venture to guess it's something pretty new, and something as a result of Gringo interference, right? :(
