Somewhat reasonable...

Probably one of the most emotionally draining situations you'll ever undergo in life is when you've become fully convinced that one of the greatest joys you've ever felt turns out to be something very very bad for you in the end. Be it having your first orgasm from a loving adult and then realizing it was the worst thing a child could experience, being slain in the spirit at Pentecostal church and then finding out you were under a hypnotic spell, or winning the sweepstakes jackpot before they fuck you over, it could easily be described as a traumatic experience. But if such realizations could be brought to you calmly and carefully instead of an all-at-once clusterfuck of convictions going off like an atomic bomb in your stomach, you'd be saved quite a lot of anguish. My only point here is that if anyone is going to convince these children that they're wrong about what they felt, I'm glad it's her. She may be dead wrong, but the odds of it being any better for these kids are slim to nothing.
