I know your reasons for not calling Number 2 socialist, and calling into question Number 1 in absence of a fully socialist economic system. But neither Number 1 nor Number 2 are really kapitalistic either.

The Soviet Union wasn't anything close to the conception of a classless, stateless, moneyless society...and because both Number 1 and 2 had all three of these things is enough to say that they are but variations of capitalism (not to get into this argument again; I am just clarifying my position).

The definition of collectivism I am using is quite simple: the idea that people should relinquish something to the collectivity. Of course, "the collectivity" need not be the state; and of course "something" need not be their sexualities, which is why probably you are confused...

Okay...gotcha. I meant specifically the idea that people should work for the common good, and receive an abundance in return for their labor. I would NEVER stand behind an ideology where people give all they have to give in exchange for little or nothing. In my opinion, working for 40 hours a week in exchange for a pittance is doing something akin to that.
