Intellectual dishonesty?

Perhaps unsurprisingly, you fail to make a distinction between actual socialism such as that practiced in Scandinavian countries (and virtually *all* successful civilizations to some degree) and fascist dictators who make use of "socialist"/collectivist sentiments to control the populace.

Myself, I lean towards socialist libertarianism -- minimal laws and minimal government intervention, but strong social programs available to those who need it. And by "minimal" government intervention, I mean the minimum necessary to protect the environment, protect individual rights, regulate the excesses of capitalism, and maximize the health of the citizens. No moral hygiene, no age of consent, no *corporate* welfare, no prohibitions on drugs or prostitution (but regulation for both).
