Why do these people never get decent lawyers?

'Looked like' a photo? What does that even mean? Does it mean completely photo-realistic (indistinguishable from a photo)? Does it mean that it looks like a photo at first glance, until you realize it's just bad 3d CG? There are many many examples of photo-realistic paintings. Would they qualify as 'pseudophotographs' (fuck me, but that's an Orwellian concept in itself). Wow... this guy must have a terrible terrible lawyer, because those jury instructions are vague enough for an appeal by themselves.

Not that there's any semblance of the rule of law in Britain anymore anyway. As of today, I'm firmly in favour of abolishing the Governor General and the Queen as Canadian head of state.
