They, like the Klan in the 1960's, know that the police are on their side, so whether they break the law or not is rather inconsequential . . . for the moment.

Of course, they might want to consider that, based on that precedent, they may be open to prosecution years from now, just as some of the Klansmen have been prosecuted for crimes 30 years ago. They might also consider that their children will want nothing to do with them and their hatred.
