I call Shenanigans on this wonderful piece of fiction. Pretending for a second that parents would actually let their 9 year old daughter go out for a walk all by herself, with a breed of dog that is likely too large and heavy for her to handle alone. This cliché story is ridiculous. Any child of that age that lost their dog would run home and get their parents, or they would try to find a police officer. A child would not stand around near the street, asking strangers if they saw her dog. Not to mention that a girl that age would never start off down the street with an adult male who is a total stranger, and then proceed to "flirt" with said stranger. I'm betting this story sounded much better in your head.

The next time you decide to make up more fiction like this, try to make it a little more believable.

One has to speculate why people feel the need to make up such works of fiction for this board? Perhaps some deep need for attention? Perhaps just a troll with nothing better to do? One has to wonder.
