just replying to ⛓️‍💥[Removed] message... i was being a little flippant in my reply anyway, but to recap..

CatcherintheRye said: Hey, I was wondering. Is there a statute of limitations on viewing child porn?

i said: .... so i would say, no. the statute of limitations and any other statutes that constrain judicial or public arousal are inapplicable to paedophiles.

you asked: Do you mean people who view CP, rather? Since people besides that do it...
Like the Alexander Keith guy for example, his psychiatrist said he wasn't a pedophile, he just looked at a variety of porn including the illegal stuff.

what i mean is that the public and judicial response to anything involving children and adult sexual interest or expression is usually emotional, immoderate and inappropriate.

in this context, 'paedophile' is a term applied to any such adult perceived to have any kind of such involvement, regardless of their sexual orientation, their behaviour, their motives or even of the actual historical facts in question. the 'statute of limitations' on all forms of retaliation against the 'horror' of 'paedophilia' is non-existent. no natural human right is deemed so precious that it can't be jettisoned to 'get' a 'paedophile'.
