…question the truth of someone's words. It is quite another to speak with such authority on a subject in which you have none. You don’t know Azure, and you have no idea of the community in which he lives. I will say, from personal experience, that my sister and I went our separate directions in combing our neighborhood for my dog when it escaped (She was 8 and I was 7). As we passed people, we asked if they had seen the dog. While things have changed since my childhood, I feel that my community is still safe enough to allow this type of interaction. We would never call the police about something like this. In my opinion (at that age as well as now), the police have better things to do than to run around looking for dogs. We always found it for ourselves. Your claim that this could “never” happen is demonstrative of your naivety and the narrow scope through which you perceive reality.

While I might, at times, feel doubt creeping into my mind as I read posts on GC, I take steps to suspend that disbelief. There is no reason to take seriously any doubt which one can neither prove nor disprove. Also, your response raises the question of what is worse, an alleged troll who shares a beautiful, too-good-to-be-true story, or a petulant asshole fool of a GLer who lashes out without provocation at the alleged troll? I’ll let you sort that one out for yourself.

Through your antagonist behavior, you are doing no favors for this community. I hope that in the future you will keep your sullen words to yourself. And fyi, until I read your post, this was not one of those stories that raised doubt in my mind.
