It is one of the techniques most employed by vigilantes and cops to get people they aren't getting otherwise.
Which is one of the reasons why whenever you are charged with kp charges, you should really have an expert analysis of your computer. It IS entirely possible that you have downloaded kp without you yourself intending to, or even knowing it.
