I just don't understand what it has to do with food or sex.

I suppose both of those can be in vain if you don't enjoy them, or feel guilty about them afterward, or eat unfulfilling and unhealthy food.

But ultimately, everything is vain unless we learn to value it, I suppose. It's a shame so many people go through their one beautiful life without experiencing all it has to offer them.
