I was aware of my preference for teen girls since I was in my late 20's; that is when I first realized that I had an atypical sexual preference. Before I met this community I was quick to accept this aspect about myself because I had been a walking controversialist since my earliest days. I was always against many established norms, and by that time I had mostly made my peace with the fact that I was much different from other people. So my hebephilia was just another "one of those things" that made me different. I didn't believe that I was sick for a moment because I was well aware that there were likely many adults who shared my preference for teen girls. I wasn't too keen on pedophilia at first, but after meeting the people here I quickly came to realize that the stereotypes against them were equally inapplicable to reality and I treasure the friendships and acquaintances that I have made here over the past eight years.
