Left out
Posted by CatcherintheRye on 2008-October-10 23:01:39 EDT, FridayAnyway, at one point when it was getting cooler out, she wanted to put on her coat, but couldn't get the zipper done up, so she asked her grandmother (my aunt) for assistance. As my girl stood there, she said: "Grandpa couldn't get it up either" to which my aunt replied "Yeah well sometimes when you're older like him, you have trouble getting thing up"
So of course all the adults around give a small laugh at this joke, and my fav girl hesitated, and started to laugh a bit as well, but I really don't think she got the joke, and a small part of me was annoyed, like they were laughing at her expense???
I mean my aunt probably wouldn't have even made the joke, if a kid wasn't involved in the situation in the first place...I dunno, I felt like leaning over and whispering into my girls ear "She just made a joke about sex"
Anyway, it's no big deal or anything, but I'm wondering if anyone here would feel like I did, and would want your little friend to be in on the lame joke as well??
