David was considered a prophet by all three major religions (Christianity, Islamic, and Judaic) Mostly for his songs and poetry describing the life of Christ, of course, there are some Bible scholars that believe that parts of Psalms were written by someone other than King David. The Quran regards Jesus as being a good teacher, and prophet, but not the Son of God, same goes for Judaism, mainly the three religions are tied closely together, but to understand Judaism and Islam, one must look closely at the Bible story involving Abraham, Sarah, and the hand maiden Hagar. Sarah thought her days for giving birth was over, so to give Abraham the son he wanted, she agreed to give Hagar to Abraham to have sex with for the purpose of having a baby. Afterwords, Hagar made fun of Sarah for not having children, which caused a division among them, and eventually to cause Abraham to cast his son and his Mother out into the desert. God provided for them, and told Hagar that Ishmael would grow up to be a mighty nation, Ishmael's ancestors are the Islamic peoples, they lay claim to the land of Israel because Ishmael was born first (according to the tradition, the first born always got the property first.) So essentially, all three religions worship the same God, only they worship in the three seperate ways. Judaism worships him in deeds (physical) so do Islam, but they have hate in their hearts of the Isrealies because the way they see it, they have stolen the land from them, the Christians, who follow Jesus Christ as the Son of God, worships Jesus as the Son, God as the Father, and Holy Spirit as the Spirit, which can be very confusing to the Judaic and Islamic people but make perfect sense to us, especially when you get all the Old and New Testaments together and it all fits like a puzzle. I don't know, it's sorta confusing, as I read more and more, I kinda like the idea of the Hindus who worship little girls..that idea is appealing to me more and more, then again my deep Christian roots are stubborn, so I still believe in Jesus, God, and the Bible.
