I've noticed a negative relation between the name of laws or acts and how effective it looks like they'll be. I made a post in May called "SCOTUS Affirms Legality of CP Explosion"

In it I quoted Justice Scalia's decision where he wrote about the PROTECT act which added a new pandering and solicitation provision to child porn law. It is now illegal to ask for child porn, even if the person you are asking doesn't have it, and it's illegal to offer child porn, even if you don't actually have any to provide. Justice Scalia's decision said

**********************************************
After our decision in Free Speech Coalition, Congress went back to the drawing board and produced legislation with the unlikely title of the Prosecutorial Remedies and Other Tools to end the Exploitation of Children Today Act of 2003, 117 Stat. 650.
**********************************************

He also sees the humor in the names of these laws.

The exploitation of children was ended in 2003 by the PROTECT act, so what's the need for the Keeping the Internet Devoid of Sexual Predators Act in 2008?
