But we can't exactly train them to be pliant and then expect them to stand-up to others.
A child should learn to question anything which is "too good to be true" or anyone who "tells them what they want to hear." TV advertisers are a good training ground.
One should remember that the generation taught by Mad Magazine to be skeptical of ads in the 50s was the generation which questioned the authorities of the 60s.
Children no more vulnerable than anyone else.
And while some parents would like to take short-cuts; there are different "methods" employed depending on whether one is raising Human Beings or Sheeple.
