i lived the hardcore life for several years. i never stopped being an anarchist but i did stop dressing like a punk.

i love crass and i once had a whole bunch of their records, but i sold them. i still have the 45 of "big a little a" which is great. i had flux of pink indians too. i lived a lot like they did for a while.

i'd tell you about the local scene but it wld be too close to home.. :(

anyway i think there's plenty of scope for a girl love anthem. say what you like in the lyrics, just don't tell anyone what they mean.

there's a long tradition of intergenerational attraction in punk and new wave, from don't stand so close to me️ ↗ to birthday️ ↗ by the sugar cubes.

then there's pop, rock and blues. "voodoo child". lena lovitch's "ma! he's makin eyes at me". maurice chevalier and "thank god for little girls".
