I recall hearing him on the radio some time ago, when he mixed up two expressions, "That dog don't hunt" and "I don't have a dog in that fight". Obama said "I don't have a dog in that hunt."

You actually messed up the first phrase, yourself. The actual saying is "That dog won't hunt", not "That dog don't hunt" ;).
