I guess peer pressure plays a role in that too?
I went to an all-boys elementary school, so there wasn't any

Used to hang around with a girl who lived down the street when I was 11, 12...
never thought of her as anything more than a playmate though.
The summer before she moved away, we played basketball almost every day
I remember how she played defense-- she clung like a leech!
I was too young or too clueless to enjoy it much back then, but it's a sweet memory now :)
